The simplicity in the front of this white Maison Martin Margiela belt already does it for me, but the party in the back makes me want this to actually be my first buy of 2012. To do, or not to do?

Wow, Chichén Itzá didn’t make it to the 2007 list of 7 World Wonders for nothing. The fact that this was build over a 1.000 years ago fascinates me and the fact that it’s still here is almost unbelievable. So, two ‘wonders’ down (the Colosseum in Rome and this one), five more to go.

A quick update from the beaches of Tulum, one of the most beautiful beaches of Mexico I’ve been so far. Today I’m going to visit Chichén Itzá, my second of the 7 Wonders of the World (Lesley and I made a promise that we’re going to visit them all, so we thought we might as well start today while we’re in Mexico). On one hand, I’m expecting it to be amazingly impressive and on the other hand, I’m kind of thinking that those ‘wonders’ lost their magic when they became an attraction for tourists (I’m a tourist too, but still). Above all, I’m just very curious…we’ll see!
Have you seen any of the 7 World Wonders?

The OPI Holland collection. I stopped using nailpolish for a while now, since my nails were com-plete-ly ruined by the overdose of chemicals I put them through. The sunny weather here in Mexico makes me change my mind a little again though, at least for my toenails. I think the dark red/purple called Vampsterdam is my favourite. What’s yours?

It’s actually been a while since I moved into my new office. Since October, I’ve been renting two desks (one desk for me, one desk for…you?) at the TheCollector.com HQ and it has been gooood ever since the first day. This space is huge and so inspirational, sometimes a little hard to not go through those shopping racks all the time, since TheCollector.com is an online store.
So, one desk for me, one desk for…you? Could be. Some of you already noticed Lisa Galesloot and her work hasn’t appeared on the blog for a while, and that’s because she’s no longer working at the afterDRK HQ. After about 8 months, it was time for her to move on and that’s exactly what she did by getting a new job. We’re still making a video for my blog every month from now on, but we’re no longer a team on an everyday basis.
So I’m looking for a new intern/assistent from January/February to be helping me out with the blog and all projects around it.
