After discussing the iPad and the privileges of being born in this digital age, it’s time for something old school. So apart from an iPad, you need to bring at least one notebook to Fashion Week. Trust me when I say this, ’cause I’ve tried without the notebook, but that didn’t go too well. During a show, I need to write everything that I see down. From a description of the look to the tiniest details. Yes, you can see most of it on the photos you take during a show, but since the models sometimes walk like they need to catch a train, you won’t be able to catch all the details. Write them down! (Also, you won’t hear the show music on your photos.)
You’re also gonna need the notebook when:
- Running errands in the city and you bump into a super nice shop, but you don’t have time to have a closer look. Write the address down, ’cause you’re gonna forget.
- Running errands in the city and you bump into a super nice shop and bump into an even nicer pair of shoes inside, but you’re still doubting. Write the address down, ’cause you’ll be wanting those shoes later that day when you already forgot where you saw them.
- Chewing gum and it’s losing its taste. You can’t just swallow it or throw it on the street, especially when you’re in someone else’s country. Use a paper from your notebook!
