Yes, I know. Maybe I do need new shoes. It’s just that I still like these so much (+ they’re comfy and go with everything). And isn’t that what ‘normal’ people do? Buy something and wear it over and over again, sometimes even until it starts falling apart… I think the fashion industry is going in that direction anyway. I mean, designers and fashion houses are focusing more and more on creating collections that will last longer than just (or not even a whole) season and I think that really is a good thing. Who wants to spend over 1.000 euros on a bag when you won’t be able to wear it next season ’cause it’s too trend sensitive? Not me! Same goes for a pair of pretty affordable Zara pumps in my opinion.

My blog has never been about consumerism and it never will be. I know I failed at the 5 Piece French Wardrobe thingy I tried for a couple of months, but that doesn’t mean I buy new stuff every single week and I don’t really want to. I think it’s fun to always have things to crave for and to have to mix and match with the things I do own until I get sick and tired of them, put ‘em away for a while and then mix and match ‘em again. I love the fact that when people that know my blog open the doors of my closet and are surprised by the small amount of clothing I actually own.
