…to come to the afterDRK x Maison de Bonneterie launch this Thursday. There is going to be music, bites & drinks and I will officially launch not only the bracelet I designed for the department store, but also the styling and shoot I did – together with my boyfriend – for their Things We Love for Autumn campaign AND the window I designed especially for this collaboration.
Thursday October 11th from 5pm to 7pm at Maison de Bonneterie, Rokin 140 – 142 in Amsterdam.
Please RSVP to mkingma@debonneterie.nl – we don’t want to end up with not enough bites or drinks…

Most of you might have noticed that the only bag I carry around all the time is my Céline, which I got last year. Since I am not really a bag person, I allow myself to fall in love once a year and give myself a huge treat. For a long time, I wished for the Proenza Schouler PS11. Chanel changed my mind… As soon as the velvet green Boy bag hits stores, I think I am going to take a run for it. The only question left is, does this one count as two bags?

Fashion Week season is officially over, ending with big shot Paris. Despite the fact that I honestly and obviously enjoy my very own little part in this all, I have to admit I am happy to be back home. It gives us time to concentrate on other things for a few months, until it all starts over again. Speaking of concentrating on other things, some of you might have already read it on my Facebook page, but I am currently finishing a new version of afterDRK that is soon to be revealed.
Freshnet has given me tons of opportunities in the last couple of years and I am very thankful for meeting them and being able to work with such an amazing team, but time has come to go further on my own and change my official URL back to afterDRK.com.

In Paris I went to see Fabienne and Liquorish, the spring/summer 2013 and previous fall/winter collections from Dutch born and very young Peet Dullaert. At 23, this designer is living proof that age ain’t nothing but a number.
Fabienne was created in just six weeks, with inspiration drawn from Victorian shapes. A monochrome collection with a black and white print referring to fur, yellow – referring to gold – and royal purple with a twist. With his – what I believe – strong eye for detail, Dullaert has a few great treasures hidden in his items, like a big rhinestone on the inner side of a sleeve. The blazers and two-toned pants with a shorter back are just too amazeballs.
With Liquorish he won the Dutch Frans Molenaar couture price. The judges believed his collection was the most ‘fashion’ of all contestants. I fell for the colors. And the knits. And that black and white jumper.
