I’ll probably be on an airplane to Florence by the time you’re reading this, but I have to tell you something while I’m leaving. I went to see the Monki collection for spring/summer yesterday (and picked this cute blue/white printed skirt), there’s good news for the Dutchies. Monki, which stands for Scandinavion fashion sense meets Tokyo streetstyle, is opening a store in Amsterdam this August and they’re still looking for fun and enthousiastic Monki girls to work at the store. If you’re interested in the job, send an email with info about yourself and your CV here or call 0049 152 288 11 101.
I attended The Glammies yesterday with my dear friend Caroline, an evening full of awards to give away by Glamour and ICI Paris. Since the dresscode said “feel glamourous” I thought I’d go for a fancy dress. Paloma Faith gave a lil gig away, which was fantastic! I heart that girls voice!
I’m gonna keep this update short, since I seriously need to pack for Florence, since I’m going to the big Firenze 4 Ever event aka the 10th anniversary of LuisaViaRoma! I’m leaving in an hour and a half to my boyfriends parents (they’re gonna drop us of at the airport in the morning), so I’d better hurry up!
ps; My boyfriend and I are having our 1 year anniversary tomorrow and I bought him a really cool present! Ain’t gonna tell now, cause he’s one of my most dedicated readers and I don’t want to ruin the surprise…
So here’s the promised ‘what’s in my bag?’ post. Some of the things are changing from time to time, like the lipstick, perfume and the Uterqüe bag. This is just what I am usually carrying with me, along with my Canon EOS 450D ofcourse (taking the pics with that one!).

And I want to tell you a bit more about the Odd keychain and the Hiboy business card holder. Odd is an independant fashion magazine launched in only a few more days. The magazine is completely conceptualized and realized by a group of 30 students of the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, it explores six connections between seven people in the creative industry. In the meanwhile they’re running a pretty cool blog with everything “just a little bit odd”. They gave me this nice keychain and I really really like the concept.
The business card holder is from the Italian brand called Hiboy, a limited edition and made to order handbag- and accessoriebrand with everything handmade. I just love the look of this purple exotic thingy!
We just finished our dinners at a cosy Italian place in London when this guy with a giant camera around his neck named Larry came to us to ask if he could take a few pictures. Larry describes himself as a “crazy black streetstyle photographer” and has his blog I’m TheOnlyOneOnMyStreet up and running since April 2009. I wanted to share (though you have seen this outfit already) with you guys since I thought it was really cool to be snapped buy a photographer this enthousiastic about our outfits. I remember him wiping the sweat of his forehead saying: “OMG, you gals look so hot! OMG! OMG! I can’t believe this!”
