During London Fashion Week, right before the Burberry Prorsum show, I got a quick peek inside the My Wardrobe headquarters. So much fun and the stuff that’s coming in looks amazing.

Sorry for keeping the message short today, but I’m moving out and it has to happen quickly and smoothly since I’m also preparing for Paris!

The show that I of course was most excited about while in London for Fashion Week is Burberry Prorsum. I would have never thought I’d be visiting shows this big, but my little girls dreams have been really coming true lately (I mean, Margiela, Viktor & Rolf, Rodarte). So, if Christopher Bailey would be dressing all women next season, the streets would be filled with cool cropped jackets in either a brown suède or an army green bomber version, with an exception of a tiny houndstooth printed wool coat or a chocolate brown suède button down one. I could live in a world like that. Especially in a world where also an oversized forest green cropped cardigan, crocodile leather gloves in either an orange or yellow hue are added and where peplums are taken to the next level.

This is exactly why I’m in AND into fashion.

For London, I decided to take it a bit slow and do only a couple of shows (including Burberry!) to safe some energy for Paris Fashion Week. I’m staying at a friend’s place, which is superduper nice, since she’s taking very good care of me and has this super nice bed that I just can’t get out of in the morning. Since I don’t see her that much, we’re kinda playing catch up, stroll around the city and do some shopping in between the few shows that I’m doing.

Yesterday, I went to the Spijkers & Spijkers show called Birds of Paradise, a collection inspired by the reference that the Dutch give to eccentric and colorful people. Though the collection didn’t really fit my personal style, I appreciated it’s uniformity, the fabrics and the colors. Everything was put together quite nice and I liked the twin sisters take on Edie Bovier Beale.

On our last day in New York for Fashion Week, the city was actually crying a bit (raining) ’cause we were leaving, like Anna said beautifully. In the morning we got to see the Whitney Eve show, before we left for a super delicious lunch at Clinton Bakery. We strolled around the Lower East for a bit, had dinner at Gemma and then left for the airport.

About the picture with cool mister Joe Zee, let’s call it a tradition.

I’ll keep it short for now, I have to leave for London Fashion Week tomorrow in the freaking-early morning and have to get up at 5am. Wish me luck, I’ll try share some great shots of LFW in exchange.

Yesterday morning started off pretty well, since I got to snap a few of my favorite streetstyle darlings. I mean, isn’t Miroslava Duma the most pretty thing in the world? The fact that she isn’t very tall (at all) and still gets away with pretty much everything is what makes her special. After the snapping, I got to see Kate and Laura Mulleavy‘s Rodarte collection inspired by the Australian Outback, which in my opinion was just whimsical. I was especially impressed by the shearling jackets and the oversized knitted jumpers, definite wanna-haves for me next fall.

After Rodarte, it was time for Diesel Black Gold, which we almost missed ’cause we thought we were expected at Pier 94 for the show. That was until our super funny female cabdriver screamed: ‘Where the hell’s all the people?’ and we realized we had the wrong address. We raced back downtown to another pier and arrived just on time to get a small glimpse of the show from the photographer’s mountain point of view. About the collection itself, I spy an awesome skirt (possible DIY?) an ah-freakin-mazing crocodile leather coat and suède red jacket that melted my heart.

At the moment I’m super busy having a slumber party with Anna, but I wanted to share these New York pics quickly before the party continues.

Day three in New York with Anna was filled with appointments, apparently a lot of outfit changing, a little bit of shopping in between and an ice cold wind. I was literally freezing my ass off in that floral suit, which is obviously meant for spring, but who cares? It’s Fashion Week! After buying a true investment piece (a Margiela suit, obsessed!) and a meeting that took way longer than expected, I sadly had to skip the Tommy Hilfiger show to run to the Bloglovin’ awards.
