Ok, it is a beanie, not really a hat, but that title just came in very naturally. What is less natural is to wear a beanie and go bare legged, though the weather was seriously cold and at the same time warm enough to make that combination. Paris Fashion Week is crazier than ever (more on that later…) and I would not be me if it went without any problems. The Belgium trains have decided to bail on us next Wednesday, which makes it kind of impossible to go home. Maybe Paris is wanting me to stay?

Hello big apple! Day one of New York Fashion Week is a wrap and I could not be more excited for the rest of the week.

I was wearing an Avelon shirt, skirt from Monki, Céline sunglasses and bag and shoes from Kurt Geiger.

Flipping through Vogue Collections, cravings for fall mounted up. Me – being totally unrealistic – writing down Givenchy boots, Rag & Bone hat, Céline just about everything, more boots, a Chanel bag. Though most of these cravings are not really going to happen anytime soon, it is good to have them as some sort of reference while shopping. I mean, they can all be translated into something more reachable:

Givenchy boots – oh, check!
Rag & Bone hat – never going to get a high CPW anyway and I already have one from H&M.
Céline just about everything – go minimalistic, the best options can probably be found at COS.
More boots – Isabel Marant is getting in some good ones when the paycheck allows. If not, wait for the next paycheck.
Chanel bag – a cool shoulder bag in a fall color that is both suitable for running errands and evenings out.

Speaking of bags, I needed a bag in a different color than black, so I went for the almost complete opposite and got off-white/cream. With a hint of a cool fall color. Perfect!

After wearing orange for a day – did we screw up that game or what – I decided to step into the comfort zone and spend my sunday celebrating our 3d anniversary and my dad’s birthday in the usual black, white and grey. I do not know what it is with me and the relationship I do not have with color, but it just works for me. (And I kind of blame it on the weather as well.)

As I stated before, I love to dig through my boyfriends pile of clothes every once in a while. Actually, I have been walking around in things from his wardrobe for the past few days every single day. There is just something about menswear that I am really drawn to. Something does not always have to be fitted to be sexy. As long as there is this female touch, whether that is found in the shoes – in my case – or in something as small as a red lipstick, you are good to go.
