Another ensemble from during New York Fashion Week. I just got back in Amsterdam, but my head is still in the Big Apple, hailing cabs, shooting street style, attending shows, trying hats on at the Marc Jacobs store in between. There is still a lot of things from the past amazing week to be posted here, but I have to organize everything first. Unpack, repack for my holiday to the USA…

These pictures were actually taken in the little courtyard of the afterDRK hq, where the light is just fantastic in the early morning and then that subtle light changes into a full sun appearance during lunch time. Perfect!

I recently seem to have developed a slight obsession with things translucent. It all started with our Victoria Ghost chairs by Philippe Starck for Kartell and my most recent transparent thing is this clutch from Minusey. You see, the interesting part about transparent bags is that you can exactly see what one carrying around. I am usually not a lipstick-mobile phone-and-ready-to-go kind of person, but with a bag like this, you have to be just a bit less of a mess. One thing that really helps is that it is pretty small and does not fit a lot.

Imagine all bags being transparent, who’s bag would you like to see like that?

Excuse the background! I guess you can guess where Lesley and I went home shopping the other day. I usually like to decorate my house with more unusual items than this, but it is perfect for basics no? This was the only chance we had shooting what I was wearing, so we thought to make the best out of it. The water paint print on this jacket is one of the very few printed items I own. I have to add it is not because I am against prints, but it is just hard to find the right one. Like finding the perfect flat sandals.

I am about to board my flight to Florence for something pretty exciting, more on that later!
