I can not believe it is the last day of May already, is this year flying by or what? I can not say I am bothered though, there is exciting things ahead in June, the whole summer, September ánd October!

This is about the third time I am wearing the boyfriends denim shirt and it is funny since he leaves the house earlier then I do in the morning, when I arrive back home he is always like: “How did you get that?” Uhmm, your closet is right next to mine dear…

Thanks to this beautiful weather we have been enjoying here for the past week, I was finally able to wear my homemade skirt. When I first came up with the idea to DIY this, I never thought it would come out like this. I expected to screw up the denim jacket I used for this completely, lucky me that did not happen!

This outfit really truly is typical me. My go-to outfit consists good pair of jeans, a nice top and a jacket and I am ready to go. I have recently re-discovered this longsleeve I bought about a year and a half ago and I can not understand why I have not worn it for such a long time. Maybe it is because I sold a lot of my old clothes during Queensday and I am therefor able to see what clothes I actually own again.

ps; There are some extra pictures of this look on Facebook.

I remember the days when it was normal to be wearing flared jeans everyday and all the girls in high school were wearing them. It sounds like I am super old saying things like ‘back in the days’ (or even worse; ‘in former times’), but isn’t it just funny how these things change so fast? I would not describe myself as a trendsetter back in school, but I was one of the first going for a pair of skinnier jeans (and also the first wearing those platform Spice Girls sneakers, but that is a whole another era). And I remember everybody looking at my jeans and making weird faces until a few weeks later they popped up in their own skinny’s.

No one would have thought the skinny jeans would last this long and every season a huge comeback for flared jeans was predicted. Fact is there never was a huge comeback. I think the main reason for that is that every woman’s figure is different and we learned to pick our own favorite models. My number one still is the skinny jeans, but these flared jeans do make me look a lot taller when wearing super high heels that are hidden underneath. A good number two for me.

Tell me, what are your favorite jeans?

Every woman should have a suit in her closet. It usually takes a while to find the perfect one -or two- but once you find it, there should be no doubt. I personally see it as an investment thing, I mean mine was not exactly the cheapest available, but it fits me well and I think it can be counted as three pieces instead of two -a suit, a jacket ánd pants. I tried to dress up a little in this case, but I still wanted to make it look kind of casual by adding a buttery soft leather tank by Eudon Choi and fun, colored sandals.
